Montessori Borealis relies on the help of many people to keep our program strong. 

Below are some specific areas where we need some volunteer help, some committees that are looking for volunteers, or some materials we'd like to have in the classroom.  Or, talk with your child's teacher and see what they might need some assistance with.

The time spent can be as much or as little as you want, so don't hesitate to volunteer for fear of the workload!  If you are able to help with any of these items, please let one of the teachers know, or contact the relevant person listed below.

Summer Library Organizer:  We need someone to help finish organizing the library.  This will work best if done before school starts and students aren't using the room, but can be worked around your schedule.  Contat Chris Trostel.

Event Committee:  This committee plans and helps organize community events such as potlucks or recreational activities.   Contact Thea Howard.

Beautification and Facilities Committee:  This committee will work this summer (and later) to help make our classrooms and building more beautiful and better able to meet our needs. 

Budget/Finance Committee:  Members of this committee will become familiar with how the district's budgeting process works, and advocate for the Montessori program on issues requiring funding.  Contact Stephanie Allison at 790-3092.

Enrollment Committee:  This committee works on outreach to the Juneau community and recruitment of students for the next school year.  Contact Alfie Price at 789-4944.
