Sarah Marino is the principal of Montessori Borealis, as well as Yaakoosge Daakahidi Alternative High School and the supervisor for Homebridge, the JSD homeschool program.  Prior to becoming a principal, Sarah was a science teacher at Yaakoosge.  She holds degrees from Sheldon Jackson College, with a Bachelor’s degree in Aquatic Resources, a Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Alaska Southeast and Masters in Education Leadership from the University of Alaska Anchorage.  Sarah is dedicated to leading students in alternative programs.  At the 2011 Yaakoosge Daakahidi graduation, Sarah was able to award students with a diploma from Yaakoosge, as a separate from JDHS, accredited school.  This year she’ll be attending training for Montessori administrators/teachers, through a grant from SEAFOM.
